Hawkins Pro 224 is a powerful 12 & 24V bench charger which includes a Jump Start mode for light motor vehicles up to 200A CCA. Pro 224 is ideally suited for the small motor workshop or service station and fleet operation. Pro 224 output is protected by means of a replaceable 80A fuse to guard against reverse polarity or too high charging currents. Pro 224 is protected against component failure by means of a fuse on the mains input. It has an overload circuit breaker that can be reset if the charge current exceeds the rated output of the charger. Pro 224 is a taper charger and should be disconnected from the batteries when the charge current drops close to zero amp. Pro 224 is not an automatic charger and and is therefore not recommended for unsupervised charging of sealed batteries.
This powerful combination engine starter and battery charger is intended for table top use at home or in small businesses and garages. The Hawkins Pro 224 will deliver an engine start aid of 200A c.c. which is sufficient to start petrol and diesel engines up to 2-litre capacity. In charger mode, the charger will charge 12V and 24V batteries. Selection is made by connecting the charging cable to either the 12V stud or 24V stud on the front panel.
The Hawkins Pro 224 transformer is protected by an automatic reset thermal circuit breaker and a 12,5A mains fuse. The output side is protected by a replaceable 80A fuse to guard against incorrect polarity or too high a charging current. Two rocker switches allow for both BATTERY CHARGE / ENGINE START and HIGH / LOW charging selection.
The Hawkins Pro 224 chargers were designed in compliance with IEC 335-2-2 and has a two year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
